It's hard for me to believe that February is already gone and March (and evidently Spring, too) is upon us. Here are a few highlights of what is coming up for the Life101 crowd these days:
- 30 Hour Famine - The consensus for a date (sorry Cassie!) is March 19-20. This doesn't leave us a whole lot of time to do fundraisers, but we'll do our best.
Did you know that over 25,000 children die every day? And did you know that the vast majority of those children die because they don't have food to eat or don't have proper nutrition?
So what are we going to do about it? We're going to fast (eat no food) for 30 hours. We'll be doing a few service projects over that Friday and Saturday and learning more about world hunger and looking at what the Bible has to say about it. The purpose is to experience what it's like to be hungry for more than a day and to raise money to help those in need. Check out www.30hourfamine.org for more info.
- Rock and Worship Concert - Tacoma Dome - March 24th - $10.
An amazing concert with MercyMe, David Crowder Band, Family Force 5, and more... all for $10! Should be a great night. Let me know if you're interested in coming.
- Feet to Faith (F2F) - Tacoma - April 16-18 - $40 (unless you were one of the first 3!)
Do you want to know more about some of the social injustices in our world? Do you want to know what you can do about them? Come to Feet to Faith to learn, experience, and discuss with 150 other students on the topic of Racial Injustices. Come with an open mind and heart to learn about how we can fight against these injustices in our society.

During Life101, we've continued our discussions on Relationships, Sex, and Dating. Next week we'll be talking about the topic of Divorce - what does the Bible have to say about it? How does it effect our lives? Benton and Judy Melbourne will come and share the story of their lives and marriage with us. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers - come prepared to dig in to the subject.
