Hey everyone,
I realized this week that many of you were not at youth group last Sunday evening and may not have heard the news yet.
Our church, Cedarcreek Covenant, has called me to the position of Director of Youth and Children's Ministries. After much thought and prayer, Alanna and I have decided to accept their call!
So what does this mean? It means that Alanna and I aren't moving back to Chicago in the fall - we'll be staying here past this summer with all of you wonderful people! We're really excited about the ongoing opportunity to be a part of your lives. Thanks for all of the love and encouragement that you've given Alanna and I as we've been in the process of making this decision. Also, please continue to pray for Alanna's job, as we still don't know if she has the position for next year.
Beginning in August, I will transition to the new part-time (30 hours/week) youth and children's position - which means that my involvement with the worship team and Sunday morning preaching will be diminishing and I will be responsible for Cedarcreek's Sunday school program. While there may be some changes in our programming as a result of me having fewer working hours at the church, I'll still be a part of Life101, HYPE, our summer trips, and hanging out with you all.
Can't wait to see what God has in store for us together!

Remember - I need your $40 (checks made out to Cedarcreek Covenant Church) by Sunday and both your registration form/medical release and parental permission form before we leave next Thursday.
