It's Thursday already... which means that the weekend is not too far away! We've got some cool stuff coming up this weekend:
- Some of you have probably heard about the wood cutting party at Evelyn's house this Saturday. It's open to anyone from our church - that means that you all are invited too! This has become an annual event for our church. We spend a day preparing firewood for Evelyn to get her through the winter, as she heats her house with firewood as her only source of heat. It is a lot of hard work but it's also a lot of fun. It starts at 8:00am. If you're interested, please give me a call... I can give you directions or we can carpool.
- Sunday is youth group! Same time (6-8), same place (Upper Room). Hope to see you there!
- And finally, it is not too late to register for the THUNDER retreat. (Friday, Oct. 21-Sunday, Oct. 23, for students in grades 6-9) You have until Tuesday, Oct. 18th to sign up. AND we still have 2 tickets at the early bird price of $85. Why should you go? Because it's an awesome time to connect with old friends, make new friends, and connect with God. The activities are awesome and so is the food... It's a great opportunity to get away from the craziness of school and "normal" life to refocus on God. Just ask some people who have gone in the past.
