Welcome back to "the know." I apologize for the delay in the last couple of blog update emails. As you may notice, our blog is now hosted at: http://youth.cedarcreekcovenant.org ! The change in address messed up our email delivery system, but it's all straightened out now. Our old address (cedarcreekyouth.blogspot.com) will also continue to function and forward to youth.cedarcreekcovenant.org.
Here's what's up!
This Sunday during our normal Life101 time, we're going to have a Christmas gift making party! This is a chance for you to make gifts that you can actually give to your parents, siblings, friends and relatives as Christmas presents. Among other things, this year we will be making t-shirt scarves (thanks to Cynthia!), Quarto game boards and pieces (thanks to Ben!), and Advent theme boards (thanks to Janet!).
If you want to make a t-shirt scarf or another t-shirt craft, please bring with you these things:
- one XXL or two L/XL Tshirts per item (need not be new, goodwill or closet shopping will work) without any wording/logos
- a large pair of scissors
Speaking of Christmas, on Sunday, December 18th, we are going to be having our Cedarcreek Christmas Program at church. We are in need of your help! We need: 2 narrators, a few ladies to sing a song about Mary, and a few guys to sing a song about the wisemen. Anyone interested? Let me know!
And finally, on January 13-16, 2012, the MUD retreat is happening at Cascades Camp (for grades 9-12). It's going to be a freaking sweet retreat... you don't want to miss it. The weekend is filled with music, an awesome speaker, huge group games, time to hang out with friends, hiking, good food, and much more craziness. Cost is $115. Scholarships are available if you register ASAP! A $15 late fee will be added to any registrations submitted after December 23rd . Talk to Eric to get a registration form!
