2010 Resolutions

Hey everyone -

I hope that 2010 has been enjoyable for you all thus far! Alanna and I are certainly counting our blessings here in Maple Valley. We're glad to be back in town and excited for what this year might hold.

We'll be resuming both Life101 and HYPE this week (on Sunday the 10th and Tuesday the 12th, respectively). I hope to see you all there!

Also, on January 17th, there will be NO Life101 youth group, because of the MUD retreat at Cascades Camp, which starts on Friday the 15th and ends on Monday the 18th. If anyone in grades 9-12 is interested in coming, there is STILL ROOM!! Please email or call me to let me know you want to come! (eric(at)cedarcreekcovenant.com)

The MUD retreat is going to be a great time - the times spent in worship services will be wonderful, and the speaker, Melissa Wall, is going to be bringing a challenging message of engaging with and experiencing God in every element of life. There are great free-time activities and even service opportunities to address issues of social injustice. If you are at all interested, please email me!

In the spirit of the New Year, let me list a few of the things that the year may hold for the Life101 crew:

  • Prayer walks
  • Fountain Court visits
  • More Bible study
  • Creation Fest (a Christian music festival during the summer)
  • Afternoon book studies
  • Silent retreat
  • Summer Missions Trip
  • More Telephone Pictionary...
  • Guys night/Girls Night
  • 30 Hour Famine
  • Outreach opportunities in our own communities
  • More youth group craziness
Be excited... Be very excited.

And remember, in all things, we are striving to give glory to God through our actions, through the devotion of our hearts and lives, and through the love that we show one another and those that we meet. May we never forget that in all we do, we do it for Him! Blessings on you as you begin the New Year.
