I hope that you're enjoying the beautiful (and hot!) weather. We have some cool stuff coming up for Life101... so here's what's up:
First off, this
Sunday, August 19, we are headed to
Fountain Court to hang out with the residents and make some sack dinners for the kids from Vine Maple Place! It's a great chance to connect with each other, with older residents of Maple Valley, and to serve others. Come and join us! Meet us at
6:00 at Fountain Court; we'll finish up at
8:00 at the same location.

And secondly, we have our
End-of-Summer Camping Trip coming up in just over a week! We are excited to have a new location this year - on the Columbia River, east of Ellensburg just off I-90. The trip is happening
August 25-26 (Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon). This year we have multiple boats ready for tubing fun - and we're staying right on the reservoir, so we'll have easy access! There will be lots of water fun, group games, board games, s'mores, and worship time together. We will meet at the Upper Room at 9:00am on Saturday morning, and we will return to Maple Valley in time for the All-Church Picnic at the Foss Home on Lake Meridian (the picnic starts at 3; we will likely arrive between 3:30 and 4:00). Cost is $40 per person and includes lunch on the way on Saturday. Please contact me if you need assistance with that amount. Anyone entering grades 6-12 in the fall, and our 2012 graduates are welcome to come!
