Life101 This Sunday - and Pumpkin Fest 2012 is encroaching!

We began our discussion last week on Jesus as a Teacher - this is who his disciples knew him to be when he called them to follow him. We will continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark this Sunday, as we dig deeper into Mark chapters 2 and 3. Come and join us at the Upper Room from 6:00-8:00!

And don't forget about our upcoming events! Pumpkin Fest 2012 is coming up on Sunday, October 21st!

Here are the details that you need to know:

• When: Sunday, October 21st, 3-8pm
• Where: The Browns' House (if you need directions or address, email, call, or Facebook me... they live off of Lake Holm Rd. in Auburn)
• What: Pumpkin carving, candy corn creations, dinner, campfire, and corn maze in the dark!!
• Cost: $10 (covers the corn maze and dinner)
• Bring: A flashlight for the corn maze, and a completed 2012-13 Life101 Release Form, if you haven't filled one out yet for the 2012-13 school year.
• Please RSVP to me so that we know how many people are coming!

• Friday, October 19 - Saturday, October 20 - "Crossing Thin Ice" Parenting Seminar at Cornerstone Church in Covington. Cost is $25. We have had parents attend this seminar in the past and they have said it was worthwhile. You can find out more information and register here.
• October 26-28 - THUNDER Retreat
• October 28 - No Life101!! Because of the THUNDER Retreat.
• Saturday, November 3 - 10:00-1:00 - Vine Maple Place Fundraiser Service Opportunity and Lunch afterward. 
• Saturday, November 10 - 9:00-12:00 - Westminster Chapel in Bellevue - Workshop for Parents AND Teens with Chap Clark about Dating, Sexuality, and Healthy Relationships. I have been to a preview of this seminar and the content is great - a good place to start a discussion and build a common vocabulary on these topics! Talk to Eric for more info.
• Sunday, November 25 - Corey and Gina Greaves visit Cedarcreek - no Life101 this day, but come to church and lunch afterward to see/visit with/meet Corey and Gina from Mending Wings!
