Christmas Eve, MUD Retreat, and SLAM Trip Meeting

Christmas is almost here!

I hope that you've been able to finish your preparations for Christmas. We had a blast as a youth group playing Bigger and Better and celebrating the birth of Christ - the Light of the World - into our lives! Thanks again to Steve, Doris, Karen, and Eric Klein for hosting.

Don't forget to come with (or without) your family to church tomorrow or on Christmas Eve (at 5:00pm) to celebrate with us the birth of Jesus! That's right - we will have our service at 10am tomorrow morning and a special service on Christmas Eve at 5pm. Each will last about an hour.

Looking ahead into 2013, there are a few things that you should be aware of!

If you are a high schooler (grades 9-12) and are interested in coming with us to Cascades Camp for the MUD Retreat (January 18-21), get your registration in to me by January 3rd and the cost of the weekend is only $120! (For seven meals, plus lodging, it's really not too bad...). Scholarships ARE STILL available. You can download the camp registration, Cedarcreek Life101 release, and scholarship forms here. Contact your friends and bring them too! More info about the weekend can be found at http://www.cascadescamp.org/mud/. In order to register for this retreat, please email me AND snail mail or drop off your registration stuff at the Church Office with a check made out to Cedarcreek Covenant Church.

And looking ahead to next summer, on July 14-19, our youth group (6th-12th grade) will be traveling to Wapato for a SLAM missions trip! We will have an informational meeting about this trip following the worship service (around 11:20am) on Sunday, January 13th. We will meet at Glacier Park Elementary - probably in the 300 pod - for about 30 minutes.
