Hi everyone,
Alanna and I have absolutely loved our time at Cedarcreek, especially with Life101 and all the awesome moments and relationships with you all, but our time here is coming to an end. I will be finishing my time as the Director of Youth and Children's Ministries at Cedarcreek at the end of October, and we will be moving to Chicago so that I can complete my seminary training (it's basically graduate school for pastors). We know that God has called us to serve others through church ministry, and we know that this is the right timing to finish my training.
This has been a really tough decision for us to make, because we love you all and we love this place and this church. I hope that you know how much you all mean to us, and what a blessing that this time has been in our lives! Moving away from this church and this youth group is not going to be easy.
You can read my formal letter to the church (which includes you!!) here.
I know that this probably prompts some questions and emotions for you - and we really want to talk through that with you. Please come tonight to our Phryday Phenomenon at our apartment (7-10pm - music, games, bring a snack to share, etc.), and we will take some time to discuss this decision and what this means for our youth group. I hope that you can make it for good conversation and good times together!
If you need directions, please email or Facebook me, as my phone is currently out of commission! :)
Peace,
Eric
