Last Sunday at the Whitcomb's was a blast - I hope that you all were able to clean the lard off your hands, out of your hair, etc. (If you don't know what I'm talking about... come to youth group this Sunday to find out. :)
We ARE having Life101 this Sunday evening from 6-8pm. Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! And then bring them all to the Upper Room for a fantastic first week back. We're digging into the book of Daniel - learning about his integrity and the steps he took to stay faithful to God in an unfamiliar place.
SYATP!
Also coming up in the next couple of weeks are two See You At The Pole gatherings! SYATP is an annual gathering of students all around the world to seek God in prayer.
On Wednesday, September 18, we're gathering with other area youth groups at Real Life Church for a Pre-See You At The Pole Rally (note that this is one week BEFORE SYATP). You'll have an opportunity to connect with other Christian students from your school to meet each other and make sure you're on the same page. We'll meet at the Upper Room at 6:45pm and be back at 8:45 (you can also meet us at Real Life Church at 7:15 if that is more convenient for you). Please RSVP so that we know you're coming!
And then, the real deal! On Wednesday, September 25, students from your school will be gathering at the flagpole 30 minutes before school starts to lift up your school, peers, teachers, nation, and world in prayer to God. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to gather with your friends and classmates and make a difference through prayer.

The Thunder Retreat is coming up at Cascades Camp in Yelm on October 25-27! I'm so excited about this year's retreat, I can hardly contain it. :) Join us for Friday through Sunday of fantastic craziness and fun, and time to focus in on God.
