Hey everyone!
Life101 is kicking off THIS Sunday, September 8th, at the Whitcomb's house (email me for directions) with a fantastic lake party! We'll be hanging out from 1-7pm... we'll be tubing from 1-3pm, and playing games, getting to know each other, and generally having a fun and crazy time for the rest of the afternoon! Dinner will be included - bring some dinner food/snack/dessert to share if you're coming. Of course, bring your bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, etc. as well. Feel free to invite your friends!
Life101 will continue at the Upper Room on Sunday nights from 6-8pm throughout the month of September.
Also coming up soon is the annual See You At The Pole prayer event. On Wednesday, September 25, students from your school will be gathering at the flagpole 30 minutes before school starts (that is the start time for Kent, Tahoma, and Rainier Christian schools) to lift up your school, peers, teachers, nation, and world in prayer to God. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to gather with your friends and classmates and make a difference through prayer.
In conjunction with this event, several youth groups from the area will be gathering at Real Life Church on Wednesday, September 18 (one week BEFORE the SYATP event) for a worship service and group training for your See You At The Pole event. You'll have an opportunity to connect with other Christian students from your school to meet each other and make sure you're on the same page. We'll meet at the Upper Room at 6:45pm and be back around 8:45 (you can also meet us at Real Life Church at 7:15 if that is more convenient for you). Please RSVP so that we know you're coming!
