Merry, Merry week before Christmas!
I, for one, am so excited that the week before Christmas is upon us! The snow this last weekend was very nice too - it made for a very festive ambiance in Maple Valley, WA.
Here is what's going on this week for Life101:
Saturday - 3:00 - Christmas Fountain Court Visit! We'll meet at the church and then head over to Fountain Court to bring some Christmas cheer into the residents' lives. We'll be doing crafts and singing some Christmas carols. Please come! The more, the merrier...
Sunday - 6:30 - The Christmas Party Extravaganza! For the party this year, we'll head over to Alanna and my house - 21618 SE 237th St. in Maple Valley - just go straight onto Wax Rd. from the church parking lot, and then take the first left. If you continue to the left, we're the 2nd house on the left. It's a light yellow colored house. Please bring a WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT, wrapped up well so that we don't know what it is. Don't spend more than $3 if you're buying something. Even better, just grab something you don't want from your closet. It's going to be a wonderful Christmas time.
Also! For those of you interested in the New Year's Eve outing (Dec. 31 @ 4:00 - January 1 @ 12:30AM meeting at Maple Valley Presbyterian Church) - remember that the cost is $49, and you need TWO different release forms. I handed out one (for SkyHigh) last week, and will have the other for you this Sunday. If you need either, just contact me.
And, put it on your calendars - January 15-18 - Sr. High MUD retreat at Cascades Camp - For anyone in 9-12 grade. This is going to be an absolutely awesome retreat. Please, please come if you can! Cost is $110 for Friday-Monday, and there are full scholarships available to anyone who needs them. The teaching is going to be wonderful, the music will be great, and the fellowship and community is priceless. Contact me soon - the cost goes up $15 after January 1st.

Here's the deal for HYPE -
We have been learning about Elizabeth and Zechariah (see Luke 1) and working on our parts for Cedarcreek Covenant Church's Christmas Eve service! That's right, the HYPErs are acting out the Christmas story as it is narrated! Please come to see them and to celebrate Christ's birth with us! - December 24th, 5:00 PM at Glacier Park Elementary.
For those of you in the pagent, please be at dress rehearsal at Glacier Park on Sunday at 11:30, and be there ready to go on Christmas Eve at 4:15!
Tuesday, Dec. 22nd - Come to HYPE for the Christmas Party and to see and hear the Christmas Story, how God sent his son to bring love into the world! And there might be some cookie decorating involved as well...
