The end of summer is truly here. Some of us have already started back to school. Others will in a matter of a few days. You might be kind of bummed. Or excited. I'm not sure. Either way, you should join us TOMORROW for a fantastic hike up to the Crystal Lakes in Mt. Rainier National Park. What a great way to celebrate the end of summer!
Tomorrow morning (Saturday, Sept. 3) we'll meet up at 9am at the church office and head down to the park. The hike is 6 miles round trip. Come prepared with sturdy shoes, a water bottle, a sack lunch, trail snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses and money for dinner on the way home. Also, if you're in a swimming mood, bring a swimsuit and towel along. At the end of the hike is a beautiful alpine lake that we can swim in if you want to (it will be cold!). We'll have dinner on the way home and we should be back to the church office around 7pm or so.
And finally, don't miss out on the kickoff of Life101 youth group on Sunday, September 11th. We'll be at the Upper Room from 6:00-8:00pm. Anyone in grades 6-12 is welcome to join us!
