I hope that you're doing well. I'm finally getting recovered from CHIC... my cold is on its way out! :)
There are a couple chances for us to connect and celebrate together this weekend.
First of all, come to church tomorrow to hear some of our CHIC students share about their experiences at the Sunday service. You'll also learn a few of the songs from CHIC!Then, on Monday night (July 30) starting at 7pm at the Upper Room, we are having a dessert soiree (fancy word for party) to share CHIC pictures, stories, experiences, and more! Some of the Mending Wings group is coming to join us. We will celebrate what God is doing in our lives through CHIC. AND we'll share some awesome desserts - cheesecake, chocolate cake, and more... It's all free and tasty, so get yourself to the Upper Room on Monday night!
And finally, we have a cool opportunity for some of you to be a part of the Upper Room remodeling project. Tomorrow afternoon, Dave Burns (Melissa's dad) is volunteering his time to install brand-new carpeting in the Upper Room. He needs our help! We're looking for 4 people who would like to help install carpet squares for the afternoon. No experience necessary... We'll start at noon. Bring grubby clothes, and let me know if you're coming.
